History of Chihuahua Dogs
Chihuahuas dog is a Mexican breed and they are named after a Mexican province. A theory exists stating that their beginning into Mexico was by the Chinese. However, there are many facts and proof of evidence, which affirm that the existence of Chihuahua's early ancestors lived during the period of the ancient Toltecs and Aztecs.
When Christopher Columbus was exploring the American continent, he come across a small dog, according to his perception, 'It did not bark as usual'. This dog, named 'Techichi', was an object of worship among the Aztecs and the Toltecs.
Archeologists confirmed its chronicle by finding ancient stone engravings depicting the dog. Ancient tribesmen believed that the dog guided humans down the pathway of next world, guarding them against evil forces.
Obviously, modern Chihuahua dogs emerged after the interbreeding of the Techichi with some other breed, brought into Mexico by Chinese travelers or immigrants. This new breed, defined in the mid-1800s, is first of present day Chihuahua registered at the American Kennel Club in 1905.
Today, Chihuahua dog is very popular dog, which make faithful and funny companions in our dwelling place. Chihuahua is a wonderful pet for kids and adults. Yet, one should keep in mind that Chihuahua dogs sensitive to trauma; therefore, they need treatment with payable attention and care.
