Our labrador was left with a puncture wound
May I write in relation to the article about Debbie Hough in the May 21 Horncastle News.My family and I agree whole heartedly with the comments about keeping dogs under control.
Only last week we were walking our young labrador along the river bank by Tattershall Castle when we passed a man with a ´staffy´ on a lead, who attacked our dog by clamping its jaws around her neck.
My children witnessed the full horror of this attack. My husband and the dog owner tried their best to separate the dogs to no avail.
They had to wait for it to release its grip, which it eventually did.Our labrador was left with a puncture wound to her neck which left us with a £60 emergency vets bill and a bitten through leather collar, too.
This animal must be muzzled and controlled before hurting anyone else - even a child.
