How to Train Your Dog to Come , when you recall
The secrets of training your dog to be an equally awesome recall dog are explained step-by-step in our incredible Special Report. The Special Report tells you exactly what to do, from a puppy (although you can also work with older dogs), to teach your dog the recall.
Unlike some other dog training guides, our report is not filled with useless boring filler. It gets right to the point (just 25 pages total including the cover pages, legal notices, license agreements, table of contents, etc.) so that you can read it quickly, and get back to having fun with your dog. And while it may be short, rest assured, the Special Report tells you precisely what to do and why.
Zakk, my old German Shepherd pal, was a total recall dog by the time he was about 3 to 4 months old. We had a few chases going on when he was around a year old - "the teenage stage" for dogs. He must have been about 4 months old when we went to a big outdoor family party that had a swimming lake. A few girlfriends and I were out on rafts in the middle of the lake. I left Zakk with his "baby sitter" while I went swimming, but he kept bouncing around the edge of the lake and whining like wild.
I saw what he was doing, and thought hmm. "Would he do it? Bet he would." Then I turned to my girlfriends saying - watch this.
"Hey Zakk - come here!"
He went completely crazy. It was so funny to watch! Then he took the big plunge right into the lake. He started swimming out to me - so I swam towards him and took the raft. Once he caught up with me he climbed up on that raft, then sat right there with me, content as could be - until we all came back in.
