Chihuahua sold by dogs home

A battle for custody of Tango the chihuahua ended in court after he was sold by a dogs\' home.

Malcolm Bradbury, 59, and partner Sheila Henderson, 57, took the tiny mutt home in Seaton Delaval, Northumberland, after paying £80.

But later Joyce and Billy Grieveson, of Newcastle upon-Tyne, said Tango - handed to police as a stray - was theirs.

A North Shields court judge awarded Tango to the Grievesons. The Bradburys, who made a counter-claim, must pay £400 costs. Angry Malcolm said: \"Why did they let him bond with someone else?\"
